PINETOP, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

Two people were wounded and a suspect was shot and killed in a shooting Saturday night at Arizona's Hon-Dah Casino in Pinetop, police said.

The casino, on Highway 260, was locked down.

The alleged shooter got into an argument with his wife around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the casino, said White Mountain Apache police Chief Travis Tessay Sr.

Tessay said the suspect retrieved a rifle, leading his wife and a child to run into the casino.

According to Tessay, the suspect shot a security guard who went outside to investigate.

The guard was flown to a Phoenix hospital and released Sunday. Tessay said a customer was also injured, possibly from bullet or glass fragments.

Tessay said the suspect ignored commands to put down the rifle and was shot by an officer.

The suspect died before reaching a hospital.

Police have not yet released the suspect's name or the names of the wounded.

The FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are conducting a joint investigation into what sparked the shooting, said FBI Special Agent Perryn Collier of the Phoenix division.

No other details were immediately released.
