Seattle Mercantile Exchange (stmex.org) Donates More Than 1 Million USD for Flood Victims in Thailand

Partnering with Seattle Mercantile Exchange, Humanity Foundation Thailand to relieve and rebuild Thailand after devastating floods.

SEATTLE, WA, August 08, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Seattle Mercantile Exchange (stmex.org) has committed more than $1 million USD to "Unite to Rebuild Thailand" program, a sustainable flood relief initiative designed to provide emergency relief and rebuilding efforts to help victims of the devastating floods in Thailand. Seattle Mercantile Exchange through Seattle Mercantile Exchange Humanity Foundation Thailand will contribute $1 million USD to rebuild schools and homes. Additionally, the Seattle Mercantile Exchange is helping to mobilize groups of volunteers, set-up and run mobile kitchens and deliver bottled water and food.

The system is committing 5 million bottles of water for relief agencies, of which nearly 1 million are allocated to support the people since the floods began earlier this year. More than 100,000 meals will have been provided to flood victims.

Seattle Mercantile Exchange and Seattle Mercantile Exchange Humanity Foundation Thailand have invested in PR activities to raise awareness about the "Unite to Rebuild Thailand" and to raise money as well as volunteer signups for the Seattle Mercantile Exchange Humanity Foundation Thailand to assist in immediate flood relief and rebuilding.
