Witnesses believe person intentionally drove truck into clothing store

By Brian Entin

MANGONIA PARK, FL (WFLX) – Cell phone video has surfaced that could help detectives find a driver who was behind the wheel of a pickup that crashed into a store.

The footage shows a vehicle inside Young World, a children's clothing store, after it crashed Monday afternoon.

You can hear the driver trying to restart the engine and then drive off.

The pickup hit a person who was standing inside of the store.

The vehicle took out racks of clothing and tables of shoes. "He would not move he couldn't get the car to start for a while and you could see in the video he was stalling a little bit and when he finally revved up everyone said ‘get out of the way he's going to run' and then he shot off," said witness Mikeria O'Neal.

The victim hit by the vehicle was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center and has since been released.

Witnesses think the driver intentionally rammed the store. They say they saw him rev the engine and smash into the building but detectives aren't sure at this point.

Investigators have found the vehicle, but are still looking for the driver.

If you have any information you are urged to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458 TIPS.
