WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on drivers who are impeding traffic in the left hand lane.
Over the next few days, deputies will continue to look for people who are speeding, but now they are focusing on those who are driving too slowly.
PBSO will be patrolling Interstate 95 and Florida's Turnpike. The initiative comes after, deputies say, numerous accidents and close calls have been caused by drivers going below the speed limit in the left lane or stomping on their brakes.
Law enforcement said they will also be on the lookout for distracted drivers who are texting or driving recklessly.
