JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Pro golfer Tiger Woods is opening a restaurant and sports bar in the soon-to-open Harbourside Place in Jupiter.
The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club will take a 5,900-square-foot space next to the amphiteater and marina, according to Nicholas Mastroianni II, developer of the mixed-use waterfront property at U.S. 1 and Indiantown Road.
Harbourside Place is scheduled to officially open next month, with a grand opening scheduled for December, Mastroianni said.
An opening date for Woods' place has not been set, but is anticipated for early 2015, according to a release.
Woods, a Jupiter Island resident, said in a statement released by project officials: "I've been watching Harbourside Place's development since it broke ground more than two years ago, and know that it is the perfect location for my sports and dining club. I look forward to enjoying my restaurant as much as I hope the public will."
"I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal," Woods added. "I wanted to build it locally where I live and where it could help support the community."
