"Shark Whisperer": Fisherman picks up shark with bare hands

JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Greg Pace casually comes out to the Jupiter Inlet to take photos for his business.

"I work for a company that provides orthopedic surgeons jobs nationwide, so I was out here taking pictures for our Web site," said Pace.

But three weeks ago, he captured more than just the warm water and beautiful sand. "I see this guy with a shark on, so I just turn on the video mode, and he's pulling it in," said Pace.

Eight minutes later, a fisherman reels in a shark -- all caught on Pace's camera.

The fisherman then jumps in the water and picks up the shark. "I'm still filming, and then I see him in the water. Then, he's in the water, and everybody is just in shock," said Pace.

The fisherman, who has yet to be identified, picked up the shark to pull the hook out of its mouth. "I've never seen anything like it before," said Pace.

With the camera rolling, the fisherman brings the shark to the shore. He pulls it up, cuts the line, and the shark swims away.

And for Pace, it was just one of those moments where he was at the right place at the right time. "I hope he doesn't start a trend, that was just too dangerous," said Pace.
