All lanes reopened on I-95 after semi catches fire

HOBE SOUND, FL (WFLX) - All lanes are back open on Interstate 95 northbound in Martin County between Bridge and Indiantown Roads after an overnight tractor-trailer fire.

The fire happened around 12:30 a.m. when the driver, Sheldon St. Aubyn Wright, 31, of West Palm Beach, was flagged over because of a problem with his trailer.

Wright pulled over and got out of the truck, then the trailer caught fire and became engulfed in flames.

The truck was hauling cleaning materials, which prompted hazmat crews to respond to the scene as a precaution. The Florida Turnpike and southbound lanes of I-95 also had to be closed for a short period until the area could be secured. One lane of I-95 northbound reopened at 5:30 a.m. after about a five-hour closure. All lanes were open by 7 a.m.

No injuries were reported. It's unclear how the semi caught fire.
