Meet our Pet of the Week Captain. He's a 1-year-old domestic shorthair who is up for adoption at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Here's a special message from Captain:

"Well hello there - Captain here, at your service! I'm an outgoing and extremely social kitty cat. I love making new friends and will always be the first to say hello when you come to visit us felines at the shelter. I know people think us black cats all look alike, but I think I have some unique features. First, I'm a very tall and lean fellow with a long and narrow face. I also have some white speckled into my fur behind my head and a dark chocolaty patch of fur on my front left leg! So I guess you could say that I'm not really even a black cat since I'm speckled with other colors too. Come to the shelter, spend some time with me and try not to fall in love with me – I dare you!"
