Bidding starts Thursday on Burt Reynolds' memorabilia

LAS VEGAS (WFLX) - Starting Thursday, the public will be able to place bids on memorabilia owned by actor Burt Reynolds. The auction will feature more than 600 items.

Thursday and Friday there's online and live bidding planned by Julien's Auctions in Las Vegas. One of the many items on the list includes Reynolds' 1952 Palm Beach High School football trophy. Bidding starts at $100 for that item.

Other items up for auction include his Emmy Award he won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for "Evening Shade".

Some have said Reynolds is trying to generate money that he can use to sell his home on Jupiter Island which is currently in foreclosure.
