DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Delray Beach residents will have an opportunity on Monday to voice their opinion on the construction of a new high-tech movie theater.
Plans are in the works to build a new iPic theater on Atlantic Avenue between Fourth and Fifth avenues.
Customers at the theater would be able use iPads to order drinks and food while watching the movie. iPic theaters also offer a variety of dining options in addition to screening movies.
The area's Community Redevelopment Agency said last year they supported the proposal, but some local business owners have voiced opposition to the new complex.
Currently there is a iPic theater at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, one of only 12 in the United States. The public hearing is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.
