"Kindergarten Cops" fighting crime in Boca Raton

By Katie Johnson

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Boca Raton Police Services Department has released another video featuring “Kindergarten Cops”. In its latest video, the agency teaches why it's important to throw away trash from your holiday gifts.

The video features two kids who are acting as thieves. While driving through a neighborhood in Boca Raton, they spot the box from an expensive gaming system left by a trash can.

The tiny thieves try to break into the house where the gaming system is located, but instead they get caught by police officers. The officers are also played by child actors.

When they get caught, one of the thieves says, “We weren't going to take it, I promise. We were just going to borrow it.” One of the young police officers responds by saying, “More bad guys off the street!”

Boca Raton police say it's important that you don't advertise your holiday gifts on the curb. Instead, cut up the boxes and put them in the trash. They also suggest taking the boxes straight to the garbage dump if that's an option.
