Avoid the ER with these champagne opening tips

A lot of you will ring in the new year with a little bubbly, and believe it or not, many people end up in the emergency room from champagne injuries. Here are some things you can do to make sure it's not you.

First, chill your champagne to 45-degrees or colder before opening it.

Second, when you're about to open it, hold down the cork with palm of your hand while removing the wire hood.

Third, hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle away from yourself or anyone else.
