Meet our Pet of the Week Dutch. He's a 7-year-old bloodhound who is up for adoption at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
Here's a special message from Dutch:
"Hi, I'm Dutch - pleased to meet you! I'm a big boy with a big personality to match. I love the company of people and other dogs and am always a well-mannered boy. I have started to be a little silly in my kennel though. I will probably bark at you like I don't want you to say hello, but I assure you that I really do. Give me a yummy treat from my bucket and I'll be quiet very quickly to make sure I get that treat! Ask to meet me outside of my kennel and you'll see my true personality. I'm an affection hog who LOVES a good hiney scratch! And I'm pretty smart too. I can sit, stay, lay down, come and even give you my paw (that one's my favorite!) I also like to be active. Whether it's putting my nose to the ground and smelling everything in my path, or playing a game of fetch, I'm happy to be moving. By the way, tennis balls are my favorite - boy do I love to chase after them! So what do you think? Could you give this good ol' boy a forever home?"
