WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A Lake Worth sailor was greeted with hugs and kisses after returning home Monday night after a six-month deployment.

Cameron Bellantonio, a 2011 Lake Worth High School graduate, was surprised by family and friends at Palm Beach International Airport.

Bellantonio joined the Navy three years ago and is stationed in Connecticut. He currently serves on the USS California SSN-781 as a nuclear machinist mate.

Bellantonio hasn't seen family members in 15 months and hasn't been back home for three years. "Just being to come home after a long six months at sea and be able to see your family again, that's probably one of the better feelings in the world, knowing that you got someone at home waiting for you," said Bellantonio.

He returns to Connecticut after 11 days of leave.
