South Fork High teen threatened student murders, Martin County Sheriff's Office says

MARTIN COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - A Martin County teen is in custody and accused of sending threatening texts and tweets to at least two students, the Martin County Sheriff's Office says.

The sheriff's office says the 15-year-old South Fork High student was charged with two felony counts of written threats to kill or do bodily harm and transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The sheriff's office says many of the threats indicated the teen was going to stab his victims to death. It says in one message he indicated he would make a list of people he was going to kill. They say when school resource deputies took him into custody, he had a knife in his possession.

An attorney for the Martin County School Board says this is an 'active and ongoing criminal investigation' so the board will not be commenting at this time.
