Card game turns deadly at PSL home

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - A man is dead after an early morning shooting in Port St. Lucie.

Port St. Lucie police say an argument broke out during a card game where four men were drinking at a home in the 1000 block of SW Janette Avenue.

Detectives say 33-year-old Jose Ramon Nieves Rivera of Fort Pierce fired at least five shots at the group of men in the garage.

Thirty-six-year-old Heriberto Cintron was struck in the abdomen and was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 5:15 a.m.

Police say three other men were shot.

A neighbor from across the street heard the gunshots and called 911 to report the incident.

Police say when they and St. Lucie County Fire Rescue arrived on scene, all parties were still at the residence.
