Palm Beach International Boat Show sails into West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach International Boat Show is underway in downtown West Palm Beach.

The gates opened Thursday.

More than a billion dollars in yachts and merchandise is crowding the waterfront this weekend.

People can climb aboard some of the super yachts and get an up close look at what goes into the boats worth millions of dollars.

This year the show will have a giant water tank where it will do watersports demonstrations. There will also be sport fishing demos inside the gates as well.

New this year, Captains licensed through the U.S. Coast Guard will also be giving on the water training to boaters.

To help get through the dozens of boats and to find the largest yachts, you can download the MyBoatShow app for Android and iPhones.

Tickets to the show are $20. Tickets online are $18. The show also has an online buy one get one free promotion using the promo code BOGOWEB.

The gates will open at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and run until 7 p.m.

On Sunday the show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Since the show is taking over the downtown waterfront the West Palm Beach Green Market will resume next weekend.
