FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX) - The Port St. Lucie teenager accused of plotting to kill his family is scheduled to go on trial Wednesday.
The boy's father said he found the note in their home in early March outlining that the teen wanted them dead and he was going to pay someone to do it.
The teen, whose name has not been released, is facing two new felony charges of solicitation to commit first- degree murder.
Police said the teen planned to pay his friend $1,200 to kill his dad, stepmother and step brother.
The friend told police he thought the boy was only kidding. The accused teenager is not charged as an adult.
The trial will be held at the St. Lucie County Courthouse.
