PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - An employee who worked at a business in Palm Beach Gardens is accused of stealing more than $370,000 during her three years of employment.
Jessica Hess, 42, of Port St. Lucie faces fraud, larceny and embezzlement charges in connection with making false book entries at Aurora Diagnostics, a healthcare provider located on RCA Center Drive. She was arrested on Wednesday.
Palm Beach Gardens police said Hess, who worked as an accounts payable manager at the business from March 2011 to July 2014, created and altered company documents to deposit funds to her personal bank account.
The company was first tipped off about the suspected thefts last June after receiving an anonymous phone call in purporting that Hess was bragging about stealing funds from Aurora.
She was fired from Aurora a month later.
The police report lists more than 100 transactions, some more than $5,000, that Hess is accused of performing during employment with the company.
