Meet our Peggy's Pick of the Week Ruby. She's a 6-year-old mixed breed who is up for adoption at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Here's a special message from Ruby:

"Ruby here! How are you? Well, I'm super. Do you happen to have any toys I can play with? Particularly a ball? Those are my absolute favorite. You know, everybody calls me "soccer mom" around here because of how much I love to run around with my toy balls. Give me a tennis ball and room to run around, and I can entertain myself just fine! I get so excited when I know that I'm going to be playing that I may forget about my human pal on the other end of my leash. However, once I've shed some off my energy I walk just fine on a leash, but it's something I'll be willing to work on nonetheless. So you don't have a ball on you, do you? That's okay, we can still be friends. It may take me a few moments to warm up to you, but once I've done that, I'm an affectionate lady who loves to please. Maybe we can play soccer together sometime so we can get to know each other better? Maybe even in my new forever home! Is that with you? I sure hope it is!"
