Cleanup continues on the Treasure Coast following a strong storm Monday afternoon.
Wind and hail scattered debris and caused minor damage to some homes.
Storm Team Fox Meteorologists say more storms like this could hit Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast Tuesday.
A few thousand homes lost power through St. Lucie, Okeechobee and Martin County.
Palm City resident Mary Ann Kiely was hosting a dinner party when she says the storm hit her neighborhood. She says she never knew it was coming.
"All of a sudden we saw it get really dark and the wind came up. It was crazy. It was really dark, wind was blowing and the palm trees were going this way," Kiely said.
Kiely says the hail appeared to be the size of golf balls.
"We were amazed. Even in our front courtyard the hail was all over our flower beds."
The hail damaged a screen that covers her lanai, ripping the screen from the beams."We've lived here over 20 years and never have we experienced anything like this."
That hail was also reportedly seen in Okeechobee and Stuart.
