Bryce Santoro: Boy, 5, at Tampa hospital stands for 1st time

Bryce Santoro smiled ear-to-ear on Tuesday morning.
For the first time, the 5-year-old was able to stand up with the help of specialized braces from Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa.
Bryce was born with club feet and spina bifidia. He is paralyzed from the belly button down and had not stood up a day in his life, until today.
"It’s actually really inspiring for me and for everyone else that knows him,” his father, Jesse Santoro, said.
Despite his physical challenges, Bryce has a huge spirit that motivates him to try anything once. “Nothing will hold this kid back,” Jessie said.
Bryce has been a patient at Shriners since he was 2-years-old.
His dad said he enjoys soccer and baseball, as well as “just being a kid” with his younger brother, Carter.
Way to go Bryce!
