It was Christmas in July today in St. Lucie County.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department delivered hundreds of donated toys to children at Patches in Fort Pierce.
Patches is a daycare service for children with special medical needs.
Santa was there and gave each of them a special bag with presents.
It was a special day for parents too as they saw their kids light up with joy.
"It's something that you don't have to worry about a doctor's appointment or the next procedure that's coming up. It's pure fun," said parent Nicole Fowler.
This is the third year the department has partnered with the city for this project.
