Search for escapee underway: Inmate walked away from a work site near Okeechobee and E Road

An inmate serving time for theft has walked away from a work site in Loxahatchee, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

Philip Peletz was on a work squad near Okeechobee Road and E Street when he disappeared, DOC says.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the DOC’s K-9 team from Martin Correctional Institution are assisting in the search.

Peletz has brown hair and green eyes. He’s 6’ 01” tall and weighs 161 pounds. Peletz, who turns 54 on Thursday, was housed in the Loxahatchee Road Prison.

Peletz has numerous tattoos including a flag on his back, a rose on his left arm, a wolf on his left leg, the name Peggy, a skeleton, a rose and dice on his right arm.

He has used the following aliases, according to the Department of Corrections:
Anthony Amado, Paul A. Amado, Philip Artmen, dusing Brothers, James Burton, Michael Fershae, David Gregory, Philip Pelbetz, Phillip Peletz, Phil Petz, Jeffrey Radonavich, John Rosko and Harold Timberman.
