Around the Clark Market; 4 employees arrested for selling drugs out of Fort Pierce store

St. Lucie County Sheriff's detectives arrested four employees of Around the Clark Market at 908 Avenue D in Fort Pierce for selling drugs out of the store.

Employees Kenneth Boatwright, 58, Chester McCoy, 35, Lawanda Northard, 42, and Timothy Louis Hightower, 43, were arrested Wednesday.

An arrest report indicates that the store is a known high volume drug dealing location

The report shows the four employees were selling the drugs within 1,000 feet of Moore Creek Linear Park at 300 N. 10th Street and within 1,000 feet of First Bethel Baptist Church at 506 N. 11th Street.

On Wednesday, the  St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit with assistance from Fort Pierce Police, FBI, ATF and DEA executed search warrant after an undercover officer made numerous prior drug purchases at the store.

Detectives entered the store to serve a search warrant and found Hightower and Northard in the store.

Both had been recorded about a week earlier selling cocaine to an undercover officer and were arrested for selling and possessing cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park.

Hightower was also arrested for trafficking cocaine after detectives retrieved 28 grams of cocaine from the store.

McCoy was arrested for selling marijuana to an undercover officer and for possessing marijuana.

Boatwright was arrested for selling and possessing marijuana.

A total of 28 grams of crack cocaine, 42 grams of marijuana and approximately $850 in possible drug dealing cash were retrieved from the store.
