A Lake Worth woman was arrested on Monday after police say she left her two children in a car outside a Boca Raton Publix store on Palmetto Park Road for more than 20 minutes.
A witness called 911 to report the incident, then flagged down a passing Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue vehicle. When a firefighter checked on the children, they were in good condition with the air conditioning running.
While the firefighter was at the car, a black Dodge, Danielle Interrante returned and got the kids out of the car and went back into the Publix.
When PBSO deputies arrived, Interrante was leaving the store. She told a deputy that she didn't have her drivers license and provide a false name.
When the deputy said he was going to take her fingerprints, she admitted her true identity.
She was charged with child neglect without bodily harm and obstruction.
