Police investigate deadly shooting in the city of Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - UPDATE: 46-year-old Walson Alcide of Boynton Beach died at the scene, according to police. Investigators say the second victim is 33-year-old Nelson Collin, also of Boynton Beach. He is currently in serious but stable condition.


Boynton Beach police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened during the noon hour.

Officers were called to 3211 North Seacrest Boulevard where they say one man died on the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. A second victim is in critical condition.

Crime scene tape was posted at a home in the neighborhood.

Neighbors say the family mostly keeps to themselves.

"They’re very nice, very quiet," said neighbor Zachary Germain. "We never get no problems from them. I just hope whatever happens to the gentleman he makes it through."

Police say they are pursuing leads and trying to develop suspects.
