A teen charged with beating a student on the autism spectrum last year has officially been sentenced.

Andrew Wheeler received a 30 year prison term.

The sentence was not a surprise , but Wheeler's family is still not happy about it.

In August of 2014 cell phone video went viral, showing Wheeler beating Aaron Hill at a house party.

Wheeler claims someone told him Hill got physical with a pregnant woman and that is why he was called to the home.

Hill's family has denied that claim.

A detective recognized Wheeler in the video punching and kneeing hill.

Wheeler was arrested and put in the Okeechobee County Jail. The incident sparked a social media campaign called "Justice for Aaron."

Last November, from jail, Wheeler said he had never met Aaron Hill before that night and he also said he did not know Hill was on the autism spectrum.

Hill was taken out of school after his family says he was emotionally scarred by the attack.
