FORT MYERS, Fla. - Mr. Worldwide is now officially Mr. Sunshine State.

Miami based rapper, Pitbull, has been dubbed the Florida's tourism ambassador. He'll be shooting a new video on our beaches and promoting Florida as a vacation destination at his concerts.

Visit Florida's CEO, Will Seccombe, told Fox 4 in Fort Myers he's just what the state needs to keep our record- breaking tourism numbers going.

"There's no longer one great global message to sell the Sunshine State to 100 million visitors," said Seccombe.

He explained Pitbull appeals to a large group of potential visitors, including international tourists and a younger crowd.

Southwest Floridian, Trisha Davis said she believes the artist appeals to any age group.

"I think he's going to draw in a crowd from all age groups because his music is fun and energetic, and you can't help but dance to it," said Davis.

Barbara Hickman and Javier Obendo said Pitbull is the perfect representative of the Sunshine State.

"He brings fun to Miami. He can bring it to the whole state!"
