Boca Raton Wells Fargo Bank robbed

A man robbed a Wells Fargo Bank branch Thursday afternoon, according to Boca Raton police.

The suspect demanded money from a teller after handing over a note, police said.

He showed a small object which he described as a grenade, but police say it may have been a flashlight.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his mid-to-late 40s who is about 6’ tall and weighs 220 pounds.

He was wearing a white shirt, blue pants and white fisherman-style hat. He also had the teller put money in a white bag with a blue logo, according to police.

The robbery happened just before 2 p.m. at the Wells Fargo located at 7531 North Federal Highway.

Anyone with information is urged to call Boca Raton Police Detective Scott Hanley at (561) 338-1344 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
