PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Four people are in custody after several cars were burglarized recently in Port St. Lucie.

In custody: Daquan Houston, 19, of Port St. Lucie, Novell Johnson, 20, of Fort Pierce, Liquan Davis, 23, of Charlotte, N.C.,  and Tafari Knight, 20, of Kissimmee, Fla., walking in the area.

Police said they saw the four suspects Thursday morning when they responded to suspicious activity around NW Curtis Street and NW Floresta Drive.

During the investigation police located a car that had been burglarized in the 300 block of NW Kilpatrick Avenue.

After questioning, they discovered Johnson was the person in a surveillance photo from a Fort Pierce Wal-Mart who used a stolen credit card from a car burglary Sept. 3 on NW Coventry Circle.

Detectives are investigating seven similar burglaries that they suspect are linked to Houston and Johnson.

All four men were charged with burglary and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.
