Indian River County deputies have uncovered a grow house and seized more than 2 pounds of marijuana during two separate raids, according to the sheriff’s office.

The SWAT team raided a home on 44th Place in Gifford Wednesday and say that they found marijuana wrapped in various bags.

Later that evening a home on North Indian River Drive was searched. Investigators say they found more pot and marijuana growing equipment along with three grams of hash oil, smoking devices, and a digital scale.

"With children returning to school, our focus is on taking drugs off the street that may ultimately end up in the hands of children. In this case, the seized marijuana was packaged and ready for sale. We will continue our mission with an emphasis on those who distribute drugs to our youth,” said Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar in a news release.

No one is in custody but arrests are expected to be made.
