FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Law enforcement in St. Lucie County not only protect and serve, but apparently they are pretty good at wrangling alligators!

According to a post on the sheriff's office Facebook page, Sgt. Daniel Parrett and Deputy Sheriff David Abbott removed a 6-foot alligator this weekend from a driveway in the 3800 block of Avenue Q in Fort Pierce.

One of the deputies was flagged down by the homeowner while on patrol.

Neither the deputies nor the alligator were harmed. The reptile was turned over to a trapper and later released.
