#NursesUnite: 'The View' co-hosts face backlash after mocking Miss Colorado nurse Kelley Johnson

On Monday, the ladies ABC's "The View" were discussing the recent Miss America pageant, during which, for the talent portion, Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson performed a monologue and discussed her profession as a nurse.

However, the co-hosts showed their disapproval with Miss Colorado’s talent.

Co-host Michelle Collins said, "Then there was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like 'Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let's listen. She came out in a nurse’s uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly didn’t win.'"

Collins went on to say, “I swear to God it was hilarious.’

Joy Behar asked, “Why does she (Johnson) have a doctor’s stethoscope on?”

Collins clarified, “She helps patients with Alzheimer’s, which I know isn’t funny, but I swear you had to see it.”

Of course Behar misspoke since stethoscopes aren’t just used by doctors.  Nurses were more than happy to point this out to Behar on Twitter, bombarding her with messages.

"The View's" Facebook page has also been inundated by posts from nurses who aren't too happy with the hosts' comments.
