Plastic Surgery

More than 15 million people a year get plastic surgery. Liposuction, face lifts and nose jobs are becoming more and more popular among men. 14 months ago we introduced you to a member of the Sheriff's department and a former marine who got some work done. Tonight, we have an update.

Seargant Major Billy Hodge gives father time a knockout punch. We first met Billy 14 months ago. He's the owner of the U.S. Fitness Corp in Boca Raton. Billy's a former marine and member of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department. He's tough, but years of boxing injuries made his face rough.

Sgt. Major Billy Hodge/Plastic Surgery Patient: "When I see myself in the mirror, there's some things I would like to change."

Billy Changed four things: his teeth, eyes, chin and the source of ridicule--his nose.

Sgt. Major Billy Hodge/Plastic Surgery Patient: "Big nose, don't let your nose get in the way. I'm sure you can breathe a lot better than I."

Let the makeover begin. Billy got veneers, which make his teeth look wite and straight. And he went under the knife. Dr. Arthur Handel shapes his nose, gives him a chin implant and tightens the skin around his lower eyelids.

Here's the before, then six weeks after. Now, almost a year and a half later, how are things holding up?

Sgt. Major Billy Hodge/Plastic Surgery Patient: "I have a feeling, people going to say, can't believe he did that...yeah, sure I did, feel good about it...would do it all over again."

Sure, Billy has heard the jabs and the jokes. He holds his head up high and he hopes he's an inspiration to others.

Sgt. Major Billy Hodge/Plastic Surgery Patient: "If there's something you don't like about yourself change it...in the form of working out or surgery..let me tell you, it feels awesome."

Sgt. Major Billy Hodge/Plastic Surgery Patient: "The ribbing I got from work, was worth it--hope the guys kidding around with me, make some changes themselves."

As a trainer, Billy helps people shed pounds.

"Come on, come on."

As a patient, Billy helps shed the stereotype of plastic surgery.

"The image of the marine corp, police officer, there's another side of that."

Billy says the response to his new look has been great and he would do the makeover again. He just hopes he doesn't have to anytime soon.
