When Army veteran Justin Lansford got married recently, he couldn't think of anyone more deserving to be his best man than his best friend and therapy dog, Gabe.

Lansford got Gabe through the Warrior Canine Connection, which pairs wounded warriors with trained support dogs to help them with the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Lansford lost his leg in 2012, while serving in Afghanistan when an IED exploded and flipped the truck he was riding in.

He says now Gabe helps him with his PTSD and so much more; from getting ready in the morning and other tasks throughout the day.

Gabe even helped him propose to his high school sweetheart, Carol Balmes.  And since she said yes, they've all worn themselves out preparing for the wedding.

When it came time for the big day, Gabe wore his dress blues and stood right by Lansford's side as they watched Balmes walk down the aisle.

After the ceremony all 3 of them walked back up the aisle together, as a family.
