Victims & suspect in stabbing, deputy-involved shooting ID'd

A fight over a dog and its waste may have been the cause of a dispute that left two people dead and one person injured in suburban West Palm Beach.

Around 8:30 p.m. deputies arrived at the 600 block of Mercury Street and say they found Mauro Londono, 60, lying in the driveway, Claudia Morales, 54, suffering from cut marks and 46-year-old Amado Lago holding a machete.

Investigators say after repeated commands to drop the knife, Lago charged at a deputy and that's when he was shot and killed.

London and Lago were declared dead at the scene.

Neighbors say that the men were arguing over the victim's dog using the machete-wielding suspect's yard as a bathroom.

Morales is recovering at St. Mary's Medical Center.

She's expected to be OK.

The deputy who shot Lago is on paid leave, which is standard protocol.

The deputy did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
