WELLINGTON, Fla. - UPDATE: Police have cleared the scene at Palm Beach Central High School. Nothing found on campus. An investigation continues into who called in a bomb threat.

Kathy Burstein with the Palm Beach County School Board said a bomb threat occurred Tuesday morning at Palm Beach Central High School, prompting a precautionary evacuation.

Burstein said the threat came in by phone around 9:45 a.m.

Tuesday is a late start date, and the threat came as school was about to begin.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies and Palm Beach County School Police are conducting a  room-by-room search.

A special operations unit has also arrived on the scene.

The school is located at 8499 Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington. Drivers are urged to avoid Forest Hill High School in the area.
