Teen accused of firing gun near Vero Beach High School

Police arrested a teen in Vero Beach who is accused of firing shots near Vero Beach High School.

A 16-year-old male pointed a firearm at three other males just before 2:30 Monday afternoon in the 1400 block of 16th Street, police said.

No one was hurt.

Police took him into custody and he faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a firearm in public.

The teen has been transferred into the custody of the Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
