Adorable puppy left behind after hit & run crash in Pinellas County

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - Someone crashed into a Tampa man's car Monday afternoon, then left a puppy with the man and took off, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Gustavo Rodriguez Montalvo was northbound on I-275 in Pinellas County just before the Howard Frankland Bridge, when he was hit by another car around 1:30 p.m.

Both drivers stopped, and were talking on the side of the roadway.  The unknown man left his dog with Montalvo, and left the scene.

Now, troopers are looking for the car & driver who hit Montalvo, and a home for the adorable puppy.
