Pedestrian killed by Tri-Rail train in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Tri-Rail service was impacted Friday morning from Lake Worth north into West Palm Beach after a train hit and killed a pedestrian.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. at 10th Ave North and Barnett Drive in Lake Worth. 

Detectives were told a man was lying on the tracks and struck by the train.  The victim, who has not been identified, was found dead at the scene. 

Tri-Rail used buses to shuttle passengers from Lake Worth between Mangonia Park and West Palm Beach.

Travelers may continue to see some delays.
