Among the hundreds of people who came out to the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department for Thursday's rally was David Adams.
Adams' brother, Seth Adams, was shot and killed by a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy in 2012.
Adams was 24 years old when he was killed on his own property by the undercover deputy who was, like Palm Beach Gardens Officer Nouman Raja, conducting surveillance in an unmarked police car.
Adams said he attended the rally, "Because we need accountability and transparency from our public officials."
Also in attendance was the family of Aldo Alvarez, the mentally challenged man who was shot and injured by an off-duty PBSO deputy after the deputy claimed Alvarez attacked him.
Both shootings were ruled justified by both the sheriff's office and the state attorney's office. Both the Adams and Alvarez families have ongoing civil cases against the sheriff's office.
