Burning near Lake Okeechobee may bring smoke into Palm Beach County

MOORE HAVEN, Fla. - Smoke could be blowing in from the west starting Thursday and continuing for the next several days.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is scheduled to begin burning 10,000 acres near Lake Okeechobee.

The burn will focus on the area of Moonshine Bay and last through Monday.

Some trails in the area may be closed off at times due to the flames.
