Woman dead after couple shot in Boynton Beach

A woman is dead after officers found 2 people shot in Boynton Beach Thursday afternoon near the Cherry Hill Mini Mart on Northwest 4th Street, police said.

Officers said they found a bullet-riddled Kia Sportage in the 400 block of NW 13th Avenue around 3:20 p.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at Delray Medical Center. A man who was shot is currently at Bethesda Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police suspect the shooting was drug-related.

Witnesses have given different stories about what happened but investigators think the suspects left in a small 2-door white vehicle.

If you know anything you are asked to call Boynton Beach Police at 561-732-8116 or  Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
