DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - A Delray Beach woman claims a man held her dog for ransom then broke into her home and attacked her.

Raymond Ward Downs, 52, of Delray Beach was in court Wednesday facing charges of home invasion, aggravated battery and larceny.

The woman told police downs stole her debit card then took her dog for a walk.

She said he refused to return the dog unless she gave him her PIN number.

The woman says Downs then came back to her house and beat her up.
