Port St. Lucie police find 19 garbage bags full of harvested marijuana plants

Port St. Lucie police made an unusual discovery Monday afternoon.

The department sent officers to Hextel Avenue and SW Rosser Boulevard to investigate a report of suspicious garbage bags.

Once on site they found 19 bags containing harvested marijuana plants.

The bags were sitting on a canal bank in a residential neighborhood.
