Memphis officers help buy Xbox for boy whose console was stolen

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A story involving four Memphis police officers has gone viral for all the right reasons.

The officers met an 11-year-old boy on Sunday whose Xbox had been stolen during a burglary. The boy told them he could not ask for another because it was just too expensive.

So the officers pooled their cash, and with the help of a nearby GameStop, they bought the boy a new Xbox and several games.

The gesture brought him, his mom, and the officers to tears.

The photos were posted to the Memphis Police Department's Facebook page and have gotten more than 12,000 likes.
