The money is coming from an account in the general budget specifically set aside for replacement vehicles. City documents show more than $5.5 million was placed in the account for this fiscal year.

The police department will see the most new vehicles. It is receiving the following:

  • One 2016 Ford F-250 pickup truck
  • One 2016 Ford T-350 Transit Wagon
  • One 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle

The fire department will receive one heavy rescue truck, one fire truck and one emergency, tactical and rescue vehicle.
