PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police say they have arrested four people suspected of vandalizing more than 20 cars and homes between December 26 and December 28.

Marbles launched from slingshots struck vehicles and homes in several neighborhoods, according to police.

Detectives say that during their investigation they discovered several slingshots were sold at the Walmart on Gatlin Boulevard.

They were purchased by three men who drove a pickup truck, according to surveillance video.

Police say they traced the truck to Myles O’Donnell.

Under questioning, police say O’Donnell admitted being at the Walmart and buying a slingshot with Stephen Fernandez and Spencer Provance.

He said he was shooting at street signs when one hit a car window and that they thought that was more entertaining, according to an arrest affidavit.

On a different occasion O’Donnell said he was with Frank Rossi and another friend when he struck a van with a marble from his slingshot, the report states.

Police later questioned Fernandez, Provance and Rossi and say all three confessed to taking part in the vandalism.

All four, who range in age from 20 to 22, face charges of criminal mischief  and weapons offense missile into dwelling, vehicle, building or aircraft.
