Florida wildlife officials released four rehabilitated manatees on Wednesday, including one in Martin County.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission released three manatees in Brevard County Wednesday morning and a fourth in Martin County.

A cold-stressed male named "Sully" was rescued in March 2015 from the St. Lucie River in Stuart.

"Sully" weighed 400 pounds when he was found but had more than doubled his weight by Jan. 13.

"When he came in, his skin was completely white.  It was very white, very raw with abscesses so we just had to heal it,” said Jessica Schiffhauer of the Miami Seaquarium.

"Sully" was released at Sandsprit Park in Martin County after being treated at the Miami Seaquarium.

The three other manatees were released at the Port St. John boat ramp in Brevard County.  These manatees include an orphaned female calf rescued in Sykes Creek in Merritt Island in May 2013, a cold-stressed male taken from Cut Creek in Jacksonville in December 2014 and a cold-stressed female taken from Banana River in Merritt Island in March 2015. They've been receiving treatment at SeaWorld Orlando.
